Who is Ashleigh Clements?
Let’s be real here – there is nothing Ashleigh Clements can’t do, and we are obsessed with just about everything she does! Ash is better known as Pastel Pegasus – that phenomenal MUA showing off her ridiculous makeup and body painting talents on instagram. Ash has an amazing mind for costume makeup and design- she transforms herself into characters from our wildest dreams (and kills it every single time). Skeletons, candy canes, voodoo dolls and Christmas elves; there’s nothing she can’t do. But away from these incredible full body creations, Ash drives our makeup minds into imagination, producing fun and colourful tutorials and looks to indulge upon. Ash is constantly keeping the makeup world on their feet, and blowing us away with her artwork on the daily.

A Quick Question&Answer
Q: What made you launch your Youtube/Instagram page?
A: A friend of mine, who has been one of my biggest influences for me in the industry since I became a qualified makeup artist, encouraged me to share some of my work online just for fun! I was working part time at an art gallery and looking for a way to express my art, and Instagram seemed like the perfect place. It snowballed from there.
Q: What is your current go-to make up product?
A: One of my favorite brands, NYX, are releasing these amazing Duochrome Highlighters this year and I’ve had the chance to play around with them a bit before they come out in Australia – I’ve been reaching for them every day! They remind me of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Moonchild Palette – only with bigger pan sizes and a cheaper price point!
Q: Who are your biggest beauty influencers?
A: Of course, the staples such as Pat McGrath and Alex Box.
I also look to social media for a lot of inspiration these days. I love @alyssamarieartistry and @dirtymelodies.
Q: If you weren’t in the beauty industry, what would you be doing?
A: I studied fashion very briefly, so I’d say it’d be something in the fashion industry. Styling, or maybe designing.
Q: What are your goals for 2017?
A: 2017 has already been amazing for me! I kicked it off on LA with NYX Cosmetics, representing Australia at IMATS LA.
For the rest of the year, I’m hoping I can keep the high going. I’ll be back in LA later in the year, and I’m hoping I can expand my YouTube presence and focus more on that.
