Who is Stacey Banfield?

It has been a busy four years for Stacey Banfield, who is shining bright on New Zealand’s make up scene. Since launching herself into the world of beauty online, she has watched her freelance work grow and has become a household name in NZ. While she dedicates most of her time to makeup – both freelance work (and the most amazing flatlays online!!) she is also dedicated to her blog, sharing her favourite makeup tips, tricks and reviewing all your favourite brands… but it doesn’t stop there! Stacey’s blog ‘Painted Lips’ is a one-stop shop for fashion favourites, and all of her recommendations for online shopping. If you haven’t checked her out already, make sure you do and you’ll understand why New Zealand is going crazy for Stacey B!

A Quick Question&Answer

Q: What made you launch your Instagram page?

S: I started my Business Instagram account about 4 years ago now as a way to connect with fellow beauty lovers and artists. Being from New Zealand I find we are a little behind the times so I found it to be a great portal to share my own work and gain inspiration from others within the industry.

Q: What is your current go-to make up product?

S: Oh that’s a really hard question! I currently have two, I love the Mario Badescu Facial Spray for prepping my clients’ skin, and then it would also have to be my Holy Grail Smashbox Photo Ready Primer

Q: Who are your biggest beauty influencers?

S: I absolutely love Kiekie Stanners – she a Senior Artist for MAC here in NZ and her work is just incredible. Others would have to be Jordan Liberty and Pat McGrath

Q: If you weren’t in the beauty industry, what would you be doing?

S: I haven’t really ever thought about that as from a young age I knew I was always going to be a Makeup Artist. However, I’d say probably a Photographer. I absolutely love playing around with my camera and seeing what I can capture in an image.

Q: What are your goals for 2017?

S: My Goals for 2017? Well I can’t give it all away but as always I like to stay humble, and keep on keeping on. Each year I strive to do better than the last, so of course I want to continue to grow my business both online and freelance wise and try and sneak in some travel if I’m lucky.
