How to Use Instagram Stories to Grow Your Beauty Business

Instagram Stories is a relatively new feature that is very Snapchat-esque. It is a feature that opens up a whole new avenue for Instagram users to communicate with their followers, in a way that is much more personal and relaxed.

As a Beauty Business owner, you can use your Instagram Stories to connect with your followers on a more personal level.

And because your Story will disappear after 24 hours, you can upload images that aren’t quite as ‘perfect’ and neatly edited as the ones you post directly to your Instagram feed.

In this blog post I’m going to share with you a few ways that you could use Instagram Stories to grow your beauty business.

How to Use Instagram Stories to Grow Your Beauty Business

1. Create Story-Ready Graphics to Share Your Latest Offer

The beauty of Instagram Stories is that you can upload images that have been saved to your phone’s camera roll within the last 24 hours.

To do this, simply swipe from the bottom of your screen in an upward stroke.

What I like to do is create graphics for my latest offers, save them to my phone’s camera roll, and then upload those to my story for a professional promotion that really gets attention.

I use Canva.com to create these graphics, which is free online software, and the sizing is 900pixels X 1600pixels.

2. Share Before and After’s of Client Work

I generally advise my clients against posting before and after images to Instagram as they often are low-resolution, and two images collaged in one doesn’t look very classy.

However, with the introduction of Instagram Stories, this is the perfect place for you to share client before and after’s. And then in the last story addition of your Story (photo/video) you can mention the pricing and booking details of the service that client enjoyed.

Easy peasy!

3. Share a Client Testimonial (Video)

Is your client SUPER happy with the results you achieved for them in their service? Let them gush about it on your Instagram Story!

There is honestly nothing better for promoting your business than a genuine client review in video form.

Your potential clients will see that, and be able to look at the facial expression and listen to the way in which your reviewing client is talking and know immediately how thrilled they are to have hired with you.

With Instagram Stories you can also save your stories (individual story additions and the whole thing) to share over on your Facebook Page or even on your website.

And there you have it! You now have a few different strategies that you can use on Instagram Stories to grow your Beauty Business.
